Refund and Cancellation Policy
We focus on providing outstanding experiences for our guests. We recognize that plans can shift, and unexpected situations may occur. Our refund and cancellation policy is crafted to be equitable and clear, guaranteeing transparency for everyone involved.
Refund Eligibility
We provide a hassle-free refund, minus a booking fee of $15, under the following circumstances:
No-Show Policy
All Guests who do not arrive at the specified meeting location within one hour of the scheduled time without prior notification will be regarded as a "no-show." In these instances, no refunds will be provided. Rescheduling may be feasible, depending on availability. Requests for modifications and rescheduling of a tour must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance. All changes are contingent upon availability. If rescheduling cannot be accommodated, the standard cancellation policy will be enforced. Roatan Local Tours is not liable for refunds or cancellations processed through third-party organizations. If your tour was booked via a third-party platform or travel agency, please consult their specific cancellation and refund policies.
Is the PayPal/Credit Card booking refundable?
A: Yes, we offer a Money Back guarantee if you cancel 48 hours prior to the date of arrival. We will issue a full refund minus a $15 fee to cover bank fees etc..
Does Roatan Island take US Dollars or Credit Cards?
A:Yes we do. You can pay anywhere in Roatan with US Dollars and get change back in US Dollars. Keep in mind we don’t accept coins, only bills. We also accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) via PayPal.
Important: Kindly be aware that cancellations made on the same day will lead to the loss of payment for the guest or guests who have canceled. Nevertheless, if the cancellation stems from health-related issues, we will process a refund upon receiving an official letter from a doctor as valid evidence of the health concern. Our policy aims to be flexible while allowing us to manage our excursions in an efficient and equitable manner.
Late Arrivals of Cruise Ships
If a cruise ship arrives later than expected and the guest misses their scheduled tour, Roatan Local Tours generally offers the option to reschedule tours on the same day, given that the cruise ship's departure time can also vary. In instances where rescheduling is not feasible, guests may be eligible for a partial refund depending on the particular circumstances and timing involved.
CRUISE SHIP PORTS - How will I find you on excursion day?
MEETING INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHIPPING PORTS:
Meeting time will be 1 hour after disembarkation doors are open (If you booked private you can disembark earlier or later. We are there as soon as your ship docks). You will head to the port exit gate. Once there, look for the ROATAN LOCAL TOURS sign.
MAHOGANY BAY
When you disembark the ship, head towards the duty-free shop. Walk through, then walk up the hill and make a left towards the taxi parking lot. Once there, make a left towards the port exit gate. Walk up the hill, we will be waiting for you with the Roatan Local Tours sign. If you feel you cannot walk to the exit gate, you can take a taxi for $2 per person to where we are waiting for you. Just let the taxi driver know you booked with Roatan Local Tours and they will take you where we are. Please do not go with anyone that is not wearing Roatan Local Tours Identification.
PORT OF ROATAN (COXEN HOLE)
When you disembark the ship, head to the shopping area, and make a right under the double stairway. You will find the independent tour operator section. They will aggressively try to sell an excursion, just tell them you are already booked with Roatan Local Tours . Once you are at the end of this section, make a left and then a right towards port exit gate #1. We will be waiting across the street with the Roatan Local Tours. Please do not go with anyone that is not wearing Roatan Local Tours Identification. Once you disembark, you will head to the port’s exit gate and look for the Roatan Local Tours signs. Meeting time is 45 minutes after disembarkation doors are open.
